motorizing the pump
just tryed one of the “massive” printer motors (diamter 4cm, length about 6, connected to 12vdc) and got really impressed : even though pressing the shaft against a rumber band i didnt manage to stop it
since the shaft itself has teeth the ruber has quickly worn out
the motor has been tested with the actual pump…. (with 1:50 reduction) next step it to ensure the connection between the pump shaft and the discs -to which the bearings are attached- is solid. now it slips all the time

just passed by the meccano meca in barcelona (universitat-pelaio): since three years ago the meccano supplier in spain hasn’t been supplying spare gears and other components… the closest shop to get individual parts from is in Perpignan… or maybe ebay?
